High-capacity and fast storage solutions are now a must for organizations. Producers are striving to get more shares from institutions by making significant investments. Hitachi Vantara is one of them.
Hitachi Vantara , a subsidiary of Hitachi , has announced the foundation of a new generation of powerful storage and infrastructure with its scalable architecture. The solution includes the fast business-class storage array Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) 5000, the new Hitachi Ops Center management software, and the updated Hitachi Storage Virtualization Operating System.
The Hitachi VSP 5000 NVMe storage array can reach a record level of 21 million IOPS with Hitachi Accelerator Fabric internal connectivity technology. Thus, response times can be reduced to 70 microns per second in intensive applications. In addition, machine learning algorithms allow instant improvements in data parsing processes. The VSP 5000 series is the only storage system in the industry that offers the flexibility to improve performance and price across workloads by mixing NVMe and SAS flash storage in the same system array.
The new Hitachi Ops Center software also automates 70% of tasks, accelerating customer migration to an independent data center, and provides faster and more accurate analysis to keep system health diagnostics and data operations in top condition.
The Hitachi Storage Virtualization Operating System (SVOS) includes artificial intelligence that adapts to changing conditions to improve each workload performance, reduce storage costs, and predict errors that will adversely affect operation. Finally, Hitachi’s Global-Active Device (GAD) feature; Allows applications to be clustered simultaneously between locations up to 500 kilometers away. The new solution is now available to corporations and businesses.
