Samsung has acknowledged this vulnerability and error in the Galaxy S10, according to Reuters. Some banks in South Korea even advise their clients not to set their fingerprint as a security method until this problem is resolved .
It is not clear what causes the problem, but the Galaxy S10 uses an ultrasonic sensor to scan its fingerprints, and plastic or silicone screen protectors may affect the sensor.
