Microsoft terminated support for Windows Phone 8.1 on July 11, 2017, and stopped releasing updates for the mobile operating system. The software giant now announced the closing date of the application store.

According to the current information on Microsoft’s support page for Windows Phone 8.1 installed phones Windows Phone Store, will be closed on December 16, 2019 . So after this date, users will not be able to download applications to their devices.
The installed applications will continue to run , but will not be able to restore after uninstalling. Microsoft recommends users upgrade their devices to Windows 10 Mobile .
However, the company will terminate Windows 10 Mobile support on December 10, 2019 . However, access to the app store will remain open for a while.
